Powerful storm 'Anthony' is approaching the UK with strong winds and heavy rainfall that could be life-threatening.
This has been reported by Sky News.
Storm Anthony was named by the Met Office for the first time this summer. It is expected to blow at 104 km/h on the coast and 90 km/h inland in south Wales and western England, with heavy rain expected in Northern Ireland.
The severe weather will continue late Friday night and into Saturday afternoon.
The Met Office warns that 'flying debris can cause personal injury and threaten lives'.
Motorists are urged to take extra care and avoid coastal roads and open areas where strong winds are likely.
