The most in-demand occupation in recent months has been picker, with an average of 417 candidates per vacancy; in April 2019 there were 54 candidates for this vacancy - so competition for this position is eight times higher.
On the list of the most popular occupations, pickers are followed by couriers and online store managers. On average, 386 and 257 people applied for these positions last month, respectively. Thus, the three most popular occupations were all trade-related.
Around 200 candidates applied for the positions of forklift driver and warehouse operator. On average, more than 100 CVs were submitted for the position of purchasing and sales specialist. Also among the top 10 jobs were HR specialist, telesales consultant, real estate agent and sales manager. On average, more than 70 candidates applied for all these jobs.
"Compared to 2019, the average number of candidates increased by 167%. In fact, the labor shortage disappeared from the labor market in one day." Henri Auväert, Marketing Manager at CVKeskus.ee, comments on the trends in the labor market.
"Nowadays, employers are increasingly in need of new employees, jobs are changing and employees need new skills, so retraining the workforce is very important and employees need to be prepared for it." Henri Auväert adds.
